If you though of getting a Professional Like Camera such as Prosumers, DSLRs, EVILs, or Semi-Pro Compact based camera. I will first warn you about My personal experience by pointing out the Truth about Photography "Hobby" One By One As Below:
1. What you want it for? As a hobby you probably will spend your time on it, what you like most? what you want to try in photography? what your main point of getting an expensive one or the cheapo compact?
1.1 These days when you're going out for shopping, sport, hiking, drinking with friends, dinner with your loves one, everything happening in our life is meaningful because we're happily doing that kind of activities to relax ourselves. So that I have to capture the memorable moment once in my life time, Do you think that way too?

1.2 Hobby, I love to take any kind of photo to show my own photography skills, learn something new, meets friends, get my desirably gear/gadgets. So How Often You Going Out To Shoot Photos? How Much You Know About Photography? What Shoots You Like Most in All Kind Of Category?? Macro Photography? Landscape Photography? Still life Photography? Portraiture Photography? Street Photography? Wild Life Photography?

1.3 Your budget to get the most affordable camera?? Base On My Experience, because we loves something so we will probably spent most of the time on that, talk about that, trying to access what we never experience about it, And Here's The Reminder, Photography Is Not ONLY a Hobby, It's A POISON ><" when you heard about photography beside that others will said about GAS (Gear Addiction Syndrome) You will keep spending on every little bit of your money to get something New / Better. I've currently Spent Almost RM7,000.00 on my current gears, what makes me do that? friends, knowledge, skills, photos, reviews, I can explain one by one here:
- Friends, friends who likes photography will show off their gears & what they can do with it & you still not getting something you love most, We talks about gear, Experience & your current lens limitation etc.
- Knowledge, more you know about photography you will have to spend on what photos you want to take, I've spend 1,000MYR JUST FOR MACRO Photography (including extension tube, 55mm 2.8 macro lens, flash < getting soon), you may do with cheaper setup or expensive than mine ^^" 1 macro lens on Micro 4/3 is about RM2,800 Lens Only!! You will also need flashes, which can cost more than 500MYR to 1,000MYR. Know your gear & limitation!!
- Skills, you know & you shoot, you practice & you fail, what make you more easy to success?? better gear will do, This Is What MOST People Thinking About!!
- Photos, the more you explore in photography? the more you know, the more you see, the more you want ><" better photos make us want to do better, also which setting is more easier to get what we want.
- Reviews, New Lens, New Cameras, New Systems, Dump Your Old Gear ^^"
Lenses & Adapters
These is what i've spent ><"
2. 2011 the year i know more about photography, I've met more than 30 person who loves photography too. when i ask HOW MUCH You Spent On ALL Your Photography Equipment? NO ONE HAS TOLD ME THEY SPEND LESS THAN 5,000 RINGGIT MALAYSIA !!! Loves it?? Spend on it <3
3. How much you know about what you can do on your <To Buy List> cameras & gears? for street peoples will love to have a small & fast focus camera so you can do without others notice you're taking their photos, for Bokeh (Blurry Background Shoots) you will probably need a bigger sensor (not quite sure about it, do correct me when I was wrong.) Mega-Pixels & electronic Zoom??

3.1 Street photography is no way to define what's the Right setup for street shoots, some said there must be eye contact between your subject & the camera, some said approach your subject without they notice it, so every kind of photo have different way to take, just shoot what you like & have fun, this is what we want & what we love about photography.

3.2 I cant really list one by one here so I'll do like pros & cons of any-kind of the camera i know as below:
- Compact Cameras Pros = Small, Easy to carry, High megapixel these days, Achievable Bokeh, YOU CAN TAKE IT IN TO ANY CONCERT YOU LIKE LOL ><", save your money on lenses.
- Compact Cameras Cons = looks cheap, feels cheap, not worth the money when you look at it, some might hard to achieve like 1:1 macro photography, telephoto wild-life shoots.
- DSLRs Pros = (Digital Single Lens Reflects) feels good to hold, more accessories at affordable pricing, with Optical View Finder, great in Handling High ISO images.
- DSLRs Cons = Bulky, going out for shooting 1 day, traveling?? you might want to take your camera with you the hold day, try to imagine you taking a DSLR + light carbonate tripod + Battery Grip + Lenses + Bag + Filters + Cleaning Kits + Flashes = FEW KG I think i will want to take a rest after 2hours of carrying these stuff ><"
- Prosumers Pros = Quite Small, Light Weight, Save $$ on lenses, good for beginners but not recommend for years after years photographer, all depends on the technology of the manufacturers in term of optic quality, technical support.
- Prosumers Cons = Outdated ROFL, mostly is same as compact camera just it cost more & take better images hard to achieve some category such as High ISO low light shootings, & others stuff.

For the Next session I'll Be Talking About Brands & Marketing Issue. What I Know About the Brands & The Current Market Behavior. Please Correct Me If I'm Wrong On Any Of This Point.
Compact Camera For "Macro" Nikon Is the best (read from somewhere else Cant remember Link)
Compact Sony are good because of the looking & functional
DSLRs Nikon Is Sharper but Lenses Are expensive while Canon are a little bit softer than nikon but with affordable choice of lenses.
Olympus Produce Best Colors Ever compare to others branded.
Optic quality Carl Zeiss would be nice to hold if you have extra budget to spend
Alongside with DSLRs Sony has produce a kind of APSC sensor camera called NEX But Not much lens on the market. If you're not too much into changing lenses & stuff Nex is a good choice.
For micro 4/3 without comparing the Art Filters & ISO noise rendering Panasonic will be your choice because the Lens is better faster sharper & its cheap, but you can use the lens on Olympus too.
